where my friends, mickey and emily, live is an odd collection of old houses that back up to each other into a little courtyard and they have been divided into apartments; note the feet out of the window on this warm winter day

in the 70s (?) Austin built moon towers around the city to keep everything well-lit (there's a strange weather pattern in Austin that clouds roll in at night blocking the moon and then dissipate in the morning)
