A little water in the house...

It rained pretty hard today/tonight, so we got a little water inside the house (now that the back room is completely gone). So Steve got to do a bit of work on the house himself tearing out some carpet & padding. Notice the lovely green linoleum we found underneath our equally lovely carpet.. we debated keeping it since it's so retro - but alas we're going to rip it out & put down new tile (Thank God). 

Where Did the Back of the House Go?

Well demolition always goes fast, but... The very large plywood cover to the left is our new exterior wall for the breakfast room. The plywood on the right is a window into the office that was 'discovered' during the work.

The entire front wall was removed to relocate the window openings and the front door. Also cutting back the old roof line to create the new front hip.

If you need a pit stop....

Yes you are seeing what you think you're seeing. We have a Port-a-potty in our front yard. We are tried to place it discretely between the house & dumpster so the neighbors wouldn't have a ... cow. It's minty fresh if you ever need a quick pit stop - mind you I haven't used it but DO have to smell it anytime I walk out of the garage :{
