John will no doubt follow with detailed lists and photos, but if you are all wondering why we’re holed up in the house watching America’s Got Talent for the next several days it’s because I’m freaking exhausted.

Why am I so tired, you ask? Here was our week of jam packed “oh my god the Alamo is closing so we must spend every waking minute there until they kick us out” events:
* Saturday the 23rd - 7 pm - 2 am - Joss Whedon Birthday extravaganza - Serenity screening (Benefit for Equality Now - awesome!), Buffy Sing-A-Long and then the finales of Angel and Buffy. I confirm that Serenity and Buffy rock, and officially deem Angel to not be worth my time. Too much testosterone, and now I know how it ends anyway.
* Sunday the 24th - 6 pm - 6 am - Half-Ass-A-Thon - mini-festival of 5 movies, open only to Butt Numb A Thon attendees. Saw a sneak of Stardust, which was quite lovely.
* Monday the 25th and Tuesday the 26th - mercifully, nights off
* Wednesday the 27th - 6 pm - 4 am - Big Night (with delicious 6 course feast), Earthquake (18 subwoofers creating a “real earthquake” experience, requiring that we all sign wavers and wear special hardhats), Night Warning with Susan Tyrell live in person. Speeches by Tim, Harry, Lars, Karrie and more, plus fun trailers and ads for past events throughout the evening. At 4 am, we all toasted the original Alamo (Dewars supplied shots) and then we all got to take a seat home. John and I brought ours home together, love seat style.

That’s right, kids, my a** has been in an theater seat for 36 hours in the last week. A good time, but I am officially a zombie. And (dare I say it?) tired of movies for the moment.
