Freedom of the Press
Is apparently less important to the Frogs than is beating down doping in cycling. French Pigs (Les Porcs?) confiscated computers at La Pointe and l’Equipe the other day. The papers had done an expose featuring cyclists’ quotes to police, and refused to reveal their sources to an internal police investigation.
So les Porcs decided they could take the computers.
(This is where I could go onto a rant on how France doesn’t have as robust a First Amendment equiv, and does have close civil ties to the Vatican, and ask if we really want GWB to make us into France, but I’ve got a better punchline)
Officials at Major League Baseball could not be reached for comment.
