jankTJBTACFAMUllrich: "I ride for myself, not Lance"

Yes, and I work because I enjoy the challenge, not because I need the money.

Everyone’s favorite Eastern Block Training Camp Product is asking the same question as the rest of the cycling world: Is LA going to ride le Tour 2005? If he doesn’t and Ullrich wins (two huge ifs), then how does that taint Ullrich’s second win, and how does that stamp Ullrich as the most robbed cyclist in a generation?

“Last year was the worst of my career,” added the 31-year-old, who finished the 2004 Tour fourth behind Armstrong, T-Mobile team mate Andreas Kloeden and Italian Ivan Basso.

Well, duh.

But we all know the truth - Ullrich is going to be pulling Basso to the top of the hill this year, and it’s going to be Basso vs the Texan. Though I just want to see more of that spunky Thomas Voeckler
