Worst BNAT Movie?

We have all been (and will continue to be) kissing Harry’s ass until at least sometime the afternoon of December 7th. That is probably as it should be, but take a step back and talk about the worst movie you’ve seen at BNAT.

Originally, I thought “Greenboots” might be the worst (and it has nothing to do with the fact that it was basically unfinished/unpolished.) However, I am compelled to put House of 1000 Corpses as my nomination. I have ruminated on why I disliked this film so much, and I still don’t have a definite answer. Partly, my feelings derive from the expectations that come with a movie brought to the screen by such an ominous cult figure paired with the let-down of the (lack of) story. Also, I am pretty sure this film was supposed to be scary but at no point was I emotionally moved (other than getting hot over Sheri Moon…which is something I share with Rob Zombie since he married her) — and I’m the guy who was terrified at Event Horizon. It could have just been how overwhelmed I was by it’s absurdity. I can’t nail down my reason, but it has to be my least favorite.

I'd have to agree, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES was pretty awful.

House of 1000 Corpses was the only movie I didn't make it all the way through at BNAT, so on the surface it certainly seems like my least favorite.

That said, I was most disapointed by one of the movies I don't think we're supposed to name, which at least had some potential (what with the decent line up including Kate Beckinsale and Gary Oldman). It sucked so hard core that I ended up sticking around just cause I had to know how much worse it could get.

In that I only attended BNAT3, I have to look at what we watched. Sadly, the worst of ours was only bad becuase of the sake of novelty and the fact that it was a standard B movie western. Terry of Tinytown was mainly just pretty boring because B westerns -are- boring. I can't say I liked The Majestic very much other. :)

as much as i adore musicals, Cabin in the Sky at BNAT 3 felt about seven hours long. it may have been the timing. oh, and that same year, the new blood feast movie was reprehensible. i'd take oldman dwarf cinema any day. ANY DAY. i actually kind of liked that picture, although like so many others past the halfway point, it did feel pretty endless.

For me, had to be The Hobbit (from BNAT 2). Like smallerdemon, I'm a one-time BNATer, though. Shogun Assassin didn't engage me but I think that was just the time it was shown. Hobbit just annoyed the crap out of me.

Daughters of Dracula from 1 hurt alot.
Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens from 2.
3 was decent, no lasting pain.
House of 1000 sucked hard.

Ouch, forgot about ULTRAVIXENS. That was hard times. Erm, I mean difficult times.

I've been to Bnat's 2-4 and I am almost positive that House of 1000 Corpses was the ONLY movie ever to be cheered for when the title first comes up, and booed at by the end.

High expectations and a very big let down.

It was by far the worst thing I have seen at ANY Alamo event.

I remember Ultravixens well... and I remember afterwards the guy sitting next to me and my buddy just kind of said out loud.. "I have a raging boner right now!!"

Classic....

Uhm, Blood Feast 2 was pretty hard to sit through.. Although Hobbit was tough.... theee greaatest addvennttuuurree!!

The worst movie has to be that horrible [---] movie with Gary Oldman. [ "Greenboots" ]. House of 1000 Corpses was BAD, but [ "Greenboots" ] was incredibly painfully horrid.

The one-two punch of House of 1,000 Corpses and Green Boots was, without a doubt, the darkest time in the history of BNAT. Please don't make me choose between the two.

Greenboots was the cake last year. The 2nd BNAT had to be Robocop since that week I had just watched my uncut laserdisc, followed by Ed Gein (I hope I am spelling that close). But the misery does not even get near the nirvana you feel. Favorite moment Roy introducing the show last year. Tears in my eyes

Eh, screw you Monki, ya' rat fink! ;)

I loves me my Hobbit, but again, I have childhood love, and if my childhood love still allows me to adore Rainbow Brite cartoons, then I can take some Hobbit along with it. :D

I'm a huge dorky girl, it's true.

Now, I've been to BNATs 2, 3, and 4, and the two things that actually sent me out into the lobby because I was so bored and/or horrified was ULTRAVIXENS and "GREENBOOTS".

I gave up on Ultravixens when Junkyard Sal's plotline came up and went out to converse with Moriarty and John Robie and the rest that started trickling out about that time as well.

I tried to pay attention to "Greenboots" but it was a lost cause. I snoozed through the first 14 hours of it, then became too awake to continue that and, again, went out to the lobby to stretch the legs and see if anything more interesting was going on out there. Oye.

I'm hoping for no more turkeys this year, but I think Harry likes to make us suffer some. Gives him some evil pleasure in watching us squirm and try to keep our eyes open.

Can't wait for this year, pain or no! It's going to be faboo!

Hey, if my childhood love allows me to adore Ultravixens, yours can allow you to adore the Hobbit.

;)

If Ultravixens was vital part of your childhood, someone should retroactively arrest your parents.

Greenboots = bad. I will go out on a limb & say worse than 1000 Corpses. It didn't get booed as bad, I think, because half the theatre was in the lobby for about the last 6 scenes :)

BNAT3 was my first one, so I can't really say I had issues with Cabin in the Sky . . . although I do think I nodded off for a speck during that timeframe.
