My only prediction
I spend a vast amount of time every year guessing what movies will be shown at BNAT. In four years in a row I believe that I have been right once (maybe twice).
This year I will make only one guess.
Here is my only BNAT prediction: Someone involved from the last movie shown will be in attendance this year.
Comments
I dunno about that prediction... I'm sure the Oscar push will be on like crazy....
Buuuutt.... the main character has a number of times said that Harry was the main reason why he auditioned for the part.... hmmmmm...

Wouldn't put it past Harry. EW is my best guess in that regards.
I think Kill Bill vol.2 is possible, but we will most likely be sworn to silence if it is shown. Codename:Red Fountain maybe?

I am putting money on Eternal Sunshing of the Spotless Mind myself. That will be a good spiritual companion with the Vanilla Sky showing from BNAT3.

I think Kill Bill vol 2 and Eternal Sunshine are both definite possibilities. I think there's a chance Harry could get a workprint of Hellboy. What's EW? I'm too tired to try and figure out the initials

My prediction is that this year will be more painful then the last. Why? b/c it's BNAT5 and Harry might be too busy with his production deal to do this next year, so I think he's going to make us squirm through the most horrid movies he can find in the middle of the night. I can't wait! :)

perhaps a long shot, but KEN PARK is my top wish. BROWN BUNNY might be nice torture for the 4AM slot.

You know over the past year I've wound up watching Ken Park theatrically 3 times, audience reaction to the film is the best experience. There is nothing greater in the world than the sound of a glass being broken after a surprise opening to 10 minutes of masturbation on-screen. I whole-heartedly doubt it will play BNAT. In fact I will go ahead and declare it wont play BNAT unless harry went cuckoo recently. Although I have to admit I am morbidly facinated about Brown Bunny perhaps it could play the same slot that the midget movie played last year.....Although if you are really looking forward to Ken Park, I recommend just going the import dvd route its out in Russia as well as a few other regions.......Although wait, Larry's girlfriend Tiffany Limos who plays "Peaches" in the film is from Dallas...so perhaps maybe it is a longshot and could play, nah doubt it.

3X? you animal! where were these screenings, anyway? my roommate saw it in Italy, but his Lithuanian girlfriend was grossly offended and made him leave a half hour in. he said it attracted a "trenchcoat crowd". We should start setting odds on the movies that will play BNAT. If Kill Bill 2 is going 2:1, I'd give Ken Park 5:1 odds: not impossible, the site's covered it a fair amount, Harry likes to shock, but... yeah. I liked someone's prediction of The PASSION, but after the whole NY Post debacle, I don't really see Gibson doing any favors: 6:1. Oh, and another question, what forthcoming movies do you NOT want to see at BNAT? Me? Cold Mountain.

I wouldn't mind seeing ANCHORMAN. But I hope to God he doesn't play KEN PARK or BROWN BUNNY.

Was it just me or am I the only person who hates almost everything Larry Clark does. I'm not offended by it or anything but his movies just suck, they aren't real, they are just excuses to feed his child porn addictions. I mean lots of sex occurs between two underage people that doesn't further the story in any way, its just an excuse for this sick old man. I hated Ken Park, but not as much as Teenage Caveman. Also Anchorman would be dope to see, but I'm still hoping for Big Fish, Eternal Sunshine, Kill Bill, or something else that would blow my mind.

You're not the only one. I loathe Larry Clark. Well, LOATHE might be a stron word but it's probably not far off. He's a pederast at the very least.

Well Enough with the Larry Clark hate posts(although he is a dirty dirty assface), and back to predictions. Did you guys see what Harry posted before one of the ROTK reviews? How he is planning on seeing it with a bunch of friends the way he 'always' does. I think thats him confirming what we already knew. No real surprise but nice to know none the less, its the rest of the programming I need to figure out now.
Posted by: Greg | November 30, 2003 03:34 PM
Yeah, I saw that in the review. Good to know we'll PROBABLY be seeing Return of the King. I was thinking that maybe Jersey Girl is a possibility, though I'd think it would be a rather small one.
Posted by: Brian the Colosotan | December 1, 2003 12:52 PM
I spose Jersey Girl, but I'm still going with my gut and thinking we will get at least one of the big ones. Harry loves Kaufman so maybe Eternal Sunshine, he is tight with Tarantino so perhaps Vol. 2?, Someone said maybe Guillermo with Hellboy but I can almost guarantee no way. I'm also hoping for Big Fish a week early cause that looks awesome. Maybe we can get the Spiderman Trailer early. So many possibilities, I'm just looking forward to the posters and the goody bags.

I'd say Kill Bill 2 is more than 2:1 but I am just trying to think happy thoughts.
But come on,
-Harry was IN CHINA.
-QT has been showing movies at the Alamo for years,
and only KB has kept him away.
-We, the geeks of the world, are QT's best advertisement.
-We all know there is plenty of solid completed footage to justify showing KB2. (I should hope it’s mostly done by now!)
-Harry got us a the special KB1 screening w/Gordon Liu, so why not another special event?
-QT loves Austin and Attention. Mostly attention, but he’ll get that in spades at BNAT5.
I think these are reasons enough to say KB2 is a done deal.
(she says, crossing fingers and saying a little prayer)

I have another prediction...
One word: ANCHORMAN...

Moriarty helped it move along... soooo.. hmm...
