Yeah, I’m hopeful about them. I know they are both using a lot of up front testing of their riders, which is good and looks like the way to go to help ease everyone’s fears.

Great finish today. The last 3km were extremely exciting. So far today’s winner (trying not to spoil in case anyone’s waiting for the replay) has been clean, and hopefully that won’t change.

I’m so surprised that racers still think they can get away with it, and I think it’s pretty clear that there are still quite a few teams that are at least looking the other direction. Ricco has looked so crazy strong over the last few days, particularly on the stage he took. Surely not every great ride is drug inspired?

I’m loving that Garmin-Chipotle and Columbia are both doing so well since they’re (fingers crossed) so committed to clean riding.

I’m at a loss for a winner this year. I too like the GCh boys, but wish they had kept the sweet orange and blue argyle kits. Those were sweet. Plus, isn’t it great listening to Phil Ligget butcher Chipotle over and over.

As for a winner, I’m at a loss. I think Vandevelde will finish strong, but not really on top of this years field. Wasn’t so sure I was going to pay much attention until I happened onto Stage 4 yesterday morning. Great day.

We saw it here with the MIL and enjoyed the be-diddley-heck-doodly out of it. We even got a couple of cool stretchy watches while we were there.
