Hansel & Gretel was on my prediction list for Fantastic Fest. I had no idea that it got a US DVD release. I’m super excited to see it!

I LOVED World’s Greatest Dad. Bobcat Golthwait is a very impressive writer/director & Robin Williams is spot-on.

On the flip-side: Jack Brooks was one of my least favorite movies of FF 2008.

OK, now I’m thinking a water retardation system might be the ticket. Large tanks (ground level or underground) that detect the saturation levels of the surrounding soil, releasing water as appropriate.

A buddy pointed out it is/was against the law in some places, like Colorado, because the water needs to flow downstream for farmers, etc. but they’re specifically still banning it in (sub)urban areas. Since EcoGeek’s pointing out that the increase in non-permeable land is a major contributor to flooding, how about a water delay system. Something that retards the flow, giving the ground more time to absorb?

Hot is a sliding scale. 85 without central air is hot.

And I’m guessing that man boobs won’t cut it. Though they’re down below an A cup in any case. Shrank back in the calorie counting fad of aught six.

Looks like an ergonomics feature to me. The bike doesn’t drop very much. I think the raised position is just to make the handles a little easier to reach when mounting. Check out the yellow bike when he starts up again after the stop.

[REC] was (happily) not torture porn! It was a “mystery sickness spreading through a population making people crazy” in the vein of 28 Days Later flick. Actually, not too terribly gory at all…pretty fun!
