The iPhone/iPod, by comparison to those systems of yore, is a supercomputer. How much could the copyright holders of these games rake in by developing versions to sell on iTunes? The target demographic of apple’s portable is exactly the same people that would be nostalgic for these games. Now in our 30s and 40s, we would pay for that little piece of memory to store in our pocket.

Someone more business-minded than I should acquire the rights in exchange for a cut of the revenue, and deliver on this idea. (I’d be glad to do the code-monkey dance to create these. It wouldn’t be hard since there’s not-quite-legal source code all over the web to create your own versions of these games.)

p.s. I didn’t mention Leisure Suit Larry because I was certainly not allowed to play such filth…nope, I never helped Larry hook up in a hot tub and catch “the clap”.

An audible gasp came from our row. We shielded our eyes and dashed from the theater, nearly out of breath partially due to the running and partially due to hyperventilating over the fact that we almost had seen Meet Dave. Lucky for us, Mike kept a cool head and spoke to a manager. They had routed the wrong data stream to our theater and quickly corrected it.

Thank you everyone for your concern. The trauma has passed, and we are all just fine.

The personal trainer is especially great – the instruction is perfect. I’m pleased as punch to report that I am indeed pretty fit (particularly high marks in the Yoga and Strength Training sections), but my balance and reaction times are pretty bad. Luckily, I’ve now got a personalized training program all mapped out that will evolve as I meet goals. FANTASTIC!

…and I’m probably fey enough to want to play it, too. Then again my wife accuses me of being a tween girl at heart.

JayIsGames.com is a regular in my RSS feed so I can keep up with new casual games. I was a devoted fan of room escape games until the redundancy wore me out. I have three accounts on different Travian servers (although a workplace firewall ban may reduce my dedication.) I played tower defense games and even was active with The Casual Collective (until they started using ports that were blocked by my workplace).

Now, casual gaming has hit the consoles with original content. I played LocoRoco Cocoreccho! and flOw (based on the flash/web game) and even wasted some holiday time with the appropriately titled Pain — where you launch your avatar from a large slingshot into an urban landscape earning points for injuries and damage. I hadn’t even thought about how much I love the tower defense genre until I saw a video at IGN for PixelJunk Monsters and it makes me confident I’ll be using my PS3 a lot more…it may even be the app that kills my thirst for stars.

This one, Chronon, appears to have some time elements to it, where you can jump around to different times of day to influence the environment.
