etriganEntertainmentXM for the Holidays

Dear Jew-ish friends-

Becky and I have a lot of holiday driving ahead of us this season and we’re lining up some audio selections to entertain us. Our primary source will be episodes of “This American Life” purchased from iTunes (at a reasonable $0.95 each.) Our backup — for when we get tired of Ira Glass’s sonorous exposition — will be XM’s new holiday channel: Radio Hanukkah - XM 108. It’s been ages since I celebrated the Festival of Lights at my crazy-ass charismatic Methodist church — you know: the one that celebrated Jesus Loves You instead of Halloween, and that believed there was no coincidence in the spelling Santa/Satan — that celebrated Jewish traditional holidays in favor of the commercialized Christian ones. So, maybe when our travels are over we’ll feel that much closer to you.

Love and Happy Holiday wishes,
John and Becky
