I am up in my hotel room having some chocolate amargo (bitter/dark chocolate) with a banana and passa tempo© cookies for dinner. The chocolate is locally made. The banana is locally grown. The cookies are simple small rectangular vanilla cookies with browned smiley faces. Something about the simplicity of that combination makes me feel at ease, and is very satisfying…plus I could never get away with this as a meal at home. :)
I think I’ll go over to the mall in few minutes and see Zohan with Portugese subtitles. Another thing I couldn’t get away with at home. …the Adam Sandler part, not the subtitles.

I was delightfully surprised by Zohan. If you watch it with restrained expectations, i think you’ll like it.

Ok, you need to get out of your room and go down the street to the nice pubs they have there. Go to “Pizza na Pedra”, for the best pizza experience. Just not sure if they can make it “sem queijo”. Dado bar is cool pub too. You can go by yourself and sit at the bar and people will come and talk to you. Just make a friendly face and you can be the barman best buddy.
If you really insist on stayin in, go to the mall to “lojas americanas” – don’t expect anything american there, please… and get yourself a pack of a dark chocolate cookie with coconut called “prestigio”. It is the best.
