For those of you out of the Twitter/Facebook/Personal Connection loop, I am spending a couple weeks in Brazil training a new team. I landed in Porto Alegre last Tuesday and am still surprised at the size of the city. It is in most ways like any modern city with a metropolitan population of 4M+, but like a lot of Brazil (as I’m told) the different economic demographics are less layered or segmented the way US cities are and instead are mixed — slums butted up against walled complexes. Until I get around to more pictures, here are the snapshots I took of the city from the airport as I landed and the video I took from my window at the hotel.
