Not only was she forced to pose for this photo so I could verify image posting with MessageDance, but she has to spend a week without her momma. :( Blogged with MessageDance
NYC Schedule
Here is a schedule as it stands now. Of course, things are always likely to change but we’ve made reservations and/or bought tickets for most of this. Friday Apr 25 7am – Jet Blue Flight In 4pm – Meet Mom at Bus Station – Port Authority Bus Terminal, 625 8th Avenue 8pm – Sunday in […]
Heading To NYC Tomorrow
Becky and I are making our Biennial trip to the Big Apple tomorrow. We have an overstuffed trip ahead of us with a planned list of 3 restaurant reservations, 2 museum reservations, 2 theatrical shows, 4 limited-release movies, and the Bronx Zoo (not to mention the desire for another museum and movie plus part of […]
We Cheer
I know this is targeted at tween girls, but I know more than a few rhythm game lovin’ people who would want try this out. …and I’m probably fey enough to want to play it, too. Then again my wife accuses me of being a tween girl at heart.
Looks like we’re going to need a bigger garden.
We’ve been discussing Peak Oil for quite a while around here. Now we can all start worrying about Peak Wheat. Are potatoes the answer?
The Bush Recession
I really have nothing to say on the matter that hasn’t been said before, but I loved it when my man Doggett used the phrase “Mr Bush’s Recession” at the end of a speech recently, so I thought I would start spreading that phrase around. Of course, we may need more delineation that that. Maybe […]
Homestar Runner Calls For Calm During Photiades Household Crisis
SBCG4AP is rumored to be headed for a small home in Portland, Maine. The owner of the home, Kevin Photiades (52), had this to say “No, TVs and Wiis have no place in my home.” Despite the utter super badness of Strongbad in his own video game Photiades denies any desire to purchase a Nintendo […]
Scam School
FOAF Brian Bushwood is host of a new media web launch and, typically for him, it’s not the most well-behaved of concepts. I’ll let him describe it. Ever wanted to learn a trick that would absolutely explode your friend’s brains? Want the secrets to scamming free drinks when you’re at the bar? Ever just want […]
Opensource the HD-DVD
Now that HD-DVD has lost the battle, I’ve thought of a way to keep the format alive. The rights/patent owners should release the technology through an open source outlet, giving that community the ability to create their own disc format free of restriction. It’s a dream, but it doesn’t seem too unachievable.
Really!?! (nods to Seth and Amy)
Really?!?
Make $11b, Fire 9k
I should probably keep my mouth shut, but rumor and innuendo at work compel me to make a case (even if it goes unheard to the people in power.) I’ve commented before on the impact former CIOs have had to my employer. (Starts with a “D”, has a slanted “e” and ends in a double […]
Gettysburg Sellout
With the ongoing saga of the Jena 6 which has been uncovering even more backwardass mess in the South, it is nice to see that a t-shirt like this one sells-out by 4am.
