You may be tired of reading about the Rollerfeet household’s love of all things Sufjan, but I was triggered to ruminate more on the man today. I think it’s clear from his music that he’s taken some leads from my buddies over at Elephant 6 but what impresses me more is the way he slyly slips in some soul-slapping bass and hip hop rhythms. Check out this mash-up I came across of Kanye and Becky’s favorite Zombie song.

Yes, yes…it is so cliche to discuss the Super Bowl ads in your blog. They weren’t worth noting for the most part but two of them had surprisingly great punchlines: eTrade with the baby spit-up, and Chris Kattan for Pepsi. However, what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is up with AT&T still even using the term “Yellow Pages”? I hate those g-d books and I wish I they would stop leaving them at my house.
The most entertainment (beyond the last four minutes of the game) at our house was to flip over to the HD Animal Planet channel to watch the Puppy Bowl and the Kitty Half-Time shows.

Must stop. First the price of my beer goes up. Then Italy says it can’t support it’s pasta habit. Now two new studies confirm that “Almost all biofuels used today cause more greenhouse gas emissions than conventional fuels if the full emissions costs of producing these fuels are taken into account.” This boondoggle has to end. The corn subsidies for growing corn for ethanol given to ADM, Cargill, etc. with our tax dollars are criminal. It is not going to be the savior of our energy crisis. We have a little habit of 21 million barrels of oil a day and ethanol, which is already using up 20% of our corn crop, will never replace even half of our oil consumption.
I know there are benefits. Ethanol does burn cleaner than gasoline, runs in our current engine designs with very inexpensive modifications and might eventually reduce our oil burden. But the costs are starting to outweigh the benefits fast enough to prove we should put our money into other energy alternatives. Once again people, “beer prices go up.”
In today’s media frenzy it is old news that less than 24 hours ago Mitt Romney dropped out of the race for the GOP candidacy, but did anyone catch the hate-mongering turd he left behind?
…in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror…
I used to think of him as the second best candidate the GOP had. Now that it is clear that any promise of change he offered was only for his political party, instead of America as a whole, I am overjoyed to be rid of his mierde-spewing speeches. The GOP would be better off with a preacher. They should thank the heavens they have John McCain.
