As usual, Tom Toles has a direct line to my laugh track.
Is there any chance the Dem’s will see this as an opportunity to bring some healing? any chance they’ll recognize that the last 6 years rests partially on their shoulders, too, and will realize that their constituents want a balanced reasonable approach to budget, social concerns, privacy issues and foreign policy? Probably no chance of any of that but I bet the Dem’s get blamed for raising taxes as they try to recover from the massive deficit the GOP has burdened us with.

and what about Rummy…I mean, wow. If that isn’t a big reach-across-the-aisle “whoops, I’m sorry” from Bush after last week saying both “Rummy will be here as long as me.” and “I don’t need to reach out to the Dem’s since we’re gonna win the mid-terms.”
