Spikes and Quilts

Here is my next-to-last set of pictures from our State College trip. These were all taken with the Vito II.

We attended a game of the State College Minor League Affiliate of the Cardinals, the State College Spikes. It’s a nice smallish park that looks over the hills of Happy Valley. The night we visited was “Shirt Off the Back Night” which was a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald house, so for the night the team was wearing jerseys with Ronald’s colors.

The best part of the evening may have been the pre-game entertainment. Apparently, if you misbehave as a child in Happy Valley they make you dance like the Irish in front of thousands.

While my photography skills suffer, my mother-in-law’s quilting skills are increasing.

As usual when we’re in State College, we’ve been doing a lot of walking. It’s a good thing I found these new DocM’s to replace the pair that got split up in NYC this past spring.
