I’ve been really wanting to start my own Wiki if only for the experience with the technology. At first I thought I would create a Wiki for samples, particularly as used in “Mash-up” songs and while I was in the process of researching content I Googled© and found the Wikipedia entry for Kleptones’s newest album which already had more data than I had accumulated.

Today I decided I needed the definitive word on “the baseball metaphor” and of course Wiki already has an entry.

This one was new to me:

Picked off a base means being refused any more “bases” because of perceived lack of skill or ability.
