I really like the “arc” Get Fuzzy has been taking this week. I am almost as anxious about tommorow’s strip as I was waiting each day for Chis Ontead’s The Great Outdoor Fight story line.

I’ve been following the “To Breed or Not to Breed” collection on Salon for a while now, but this one’s the best so far.

I picked up an old camera at a garage sale this weekend. Well…that is…the long story: Cynthia, Kelly and I were wondering around my neighborhood checking out the annual neighborhood-wide garage sale and we came across a guy with 4 cameras — two 8mm movie cameras and two 35mm still cameras — from the mid-50s. He had bought 5 old cameras from the estate of a house he was wiring for resale and had sold one of them earlier in the morning. Kelly and I had enough cash to buy one each so we bought the film cameras. Then I went back later that day and bought the movie cameras. They all seem to be in working order, but I’ve only taken the 35mm out for a spin.

Notation: This is my first time using this camera and while I would like to blame some of the washed-out photos on the limited functionality of the equipment, I think my own inexperience is to blame. Maybe the next roll will look better.
