One of my go-to radio presets is 103.5 Bob FM. They’re generally playing something tolerable. But I also kind of enjoy keeping up with Bob himself, the loveable everyman who picks every song played on air from his personal collection with no regard for what his corporate radio masters have to say about it. Bob’s totally a long-time Austin resident too. Just like me, he remembers stuff about the city that people who moved here afer him don’t.
Anyhoo, thanks to this site I just found I can now keep up with all sorts of great guys like Bob who live in different cities, but also play whatever they want and are totally proud to be from where they are.
Coincidentally a lot of them are named Bob or Jack, but it’s kind of funny that it’s Abe in Springfield, IL and Ben in Philly.
