The only thing better than someone telling stories about something cute their baby did is telling stories about something cute their pet did.

Philip’s been throwing up his food occasionally as of late.

I have a vested interest in Dell stock. I still don’t understand how the market makes any sense.

Dell’s fourth-quarter earnings rose 52% from a year ago to $1.01 billion, or 43 cents a share, on a 13% rise in revenue to $15.18 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of 41 cents a share on sales of $14.82 billion. For the first quarter, Dell pegged revenue at $14.2 billion to $14.6 billion. Analysts wanted $14.73 billion. Dell was losing $1.39, or 4.4%, to $30.57.

That seems so easy to break down in my mind. Great real world thing: earnings rose 52%…to $1.01 billion…on a 13% rise in revenue to $15.18 billion. Pulled out of some analyst’s ass not great but still good thing: Analysts were expecting earnings of 41 cents a share on sales of $14.82 billion. And this causes the stock to drop over 4%? *Seriously?!?*

The analysts need to quit smoking crack and come back to the real world. There is no more tech boom and we’re the only company expected to perform like there is. Unfortunately, all we can muster is outperforming all of our competitors over and over again.
