“This”:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/15/AR2005121501691.html?sub=AR is a crappy little consumer column from the WaPost about a family getting the once-over from a manager at an Urban Outfitters in DC. I post it because (a) I love these kinds of stories where the man is keeping us down, and (b) because it follows jank’s attempt to set a theme of “this would never happen here” — if UO tried to pull that stuff in Texas they’d be laughed to the border. I always happily sign waivers when they’re handed to me here in my home state because I know my rights exist indpendent of someone trying to make me sign them away.

If you ask me she got what she deserved. Clearly from the article her daughter is a low down thief. The mother hasn’t even got a basic education as she signed something without fully reading it. I think they should have strip searched the daughter (only if she was cute)

No judge or jury neccesary! I bet we could just hire UO to handle all of the US’s judiciary needs! (Maybe they’re already a subsidiary of Bechtel or Haliburton and we could roll it up into an existing contract?)
