I really liked NPR’s piece on the Detainee Treatment rider this morning although it was admiteddly far from “fair and balanced”. It was particularly interesting to hear Scott McClellan’s double-speak as he tried to make us believe this bill would simultaneously be “duplicative” and interfere with the Presdent’s War on Terror. Geez, what jerk.

And to Senator Setevens: The term is not “follow by example” it is “lead by example”. You are slime.

I, also, like the bit about legislation coming from Congress.

I’ve been noticably absent these last few days because I’m preparing for Fantastic Fest by working a little overtime. I will have very little sleep over the next four days as I make my way through several sneak peeks, previews, and premieres. Check out the programming. It should offer equal amounts of “why would you want to see that?” and “wow, that should be fun.”
