Only this afternoon as I was listening to Ray Coniff’s version of Blueberryhill (from “The Happy Beat”) did it occur to me that the whole thing behind Richie Cunningham’s wild exaggerations as he headed over to make-out point singing the Fats Domino classic is that he was still a virgin and this was his big chance.
That marks a generation gap there and it brings up the point that you can do innuendo on “family tv”. Maybe some people are making too big a deal of current tv, or maybe I was an easy mark…or maybe it has to with good parenting?
