At least one person on this will be interested in a BBC documentary on the Lomo. If anyone catches that it will be shown on BBC America, please, let me know.

I realize that no one else on this site may care, but I am highly amused by the new name of MLB’s Anaheim Angels:

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim! (which can be translated as The The Angels Angels, or, I suppose, Los Los Angeles Angeles).

At least I am not alone in mocking the L.A.A.A. In fact, the Grey Lady seems to have the best line about the new name:

“Sometimes an idea comes along that is so stupid, all you can do is stand back, give it some room, and stare:

THE LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM”

I only worked in the public view for one summer as a fast food “cook” at Watertown, USA. Still, the voyeur in me loves to read about the trevails of waiters and two blogs that are making the rounds, Waiter Blog and Waiter Rant, feed my need. Be sure to hit the backlogs on Waiter Rant to find gems like Stripper Hostess.
