These guys are a watchdog group for Middle East Media…but you probably guessed that from their name. The website has a lot of interesting videos and transcripts. Most of them are anti-semitic, but this one caught my eye. It’s one of those things that a person of European descent could never say (without being derided) but is interesting to hear a lebanese Shiite cleric say it.

An Englishman wrote that the Western mind is no better than the Eastern and Arab mind and his research determined that the difference between the Western mind and the Eastern and Arab mind is that while the Western mind can concentrate on a certain subject for 12 seconds, according to his calculations the Arab brain can concentrate on the subject for only two seconds.

Meaning, we were not educated to concentrate. For instance, let us look at this pen, we think about it for two seconds while the Westerner will think about it for 12 seconds.

Possibly racist, but an interesting concept. I wonder if a comparison of man-hours and GDP would be correlative, and then if India’s ratio would be on the rise with so much of the Western world outsourcing jobs there.
