In the continuing baffling game plan of increased government secrecy, Bush is withholding information from the UN about the $1B in no-bid contracts awarded to Halliburton and others in Iraq. Apparently open information is needed for other Iraq business dealings but asking the same of ourselves is inapropriate.

Those of you who have the misfortune of travelling through Huntsville might have already witnessed the World’s Tallest Statue of an American Hero and thought “Christ on a scratching post, only in Texas would you see something like this.” Well, not anymore. Not only is John Kerry wooden, but so is his entire party.

The Governator in a speech on the state budget calls the Democrats in the state legislature “girly men” in jest, straight out of Gen X’s collective memory of nights laughing our collective butts off to Dana Carvey.

The DNC’s response? He’s sexist and homophobic. At least Arnold hasn’t backed off much At a rally Sunday in Stockton, the governor gave a speech almost identical to the one he delivered in Ontario, telling a crowd that trial lawyers, unions and other “special interests” were “dug in” in Sacramento “like Alabama ticks, and we cannot get rid of them.”

And they do it on a rest day.
