Controversial idea:
- Soros: Wants to legalize drugs. Has been called a “left-wing crank” by Tony Blankley
- Moon: Claims to be the Messiah and True Father of humanity. Has urged deacons to “tear down the cross.” (“My enemies are America and Christianity. How am I going to win over those enemies?” he mused in 1993.)
Today’s reason: more government funds for large corporations.
Preaching the mantra of “small business” has been a mainstay of the Bush Adminstration, but Big Oil is using taxpayer money to secure itself.
It’s no secret that when it comes to the mounting cost of security for all high-risk terrorist targets, like nuclear power plants and railroads, there simply isn’t enough Homeland Security money to go around. …taxpayer dollars are quietly going to pay for security at some of the richest corporations in the world. Major oil companies have received $65 million to buy cameras, fencing, and communications equipment.
Citgo made a $439 million profit but took $19.4 million in government grants. ConocoPhillips earned $4.7 billion in profits but received nearly $10.8 million. ChevronTexaco netted a whopping $7.2 billion profit but several of its facilities still got over $7.3 million in government handouts.
I always loved the concept that big business should stand and fall on it’s on merits, but propping up big business is important to W.

Why did DCI George Tenet suddenly resign on June 3rd, only to be followed a day later by James Pavitt, the CIA’s Deputy Director of Operations (DDO)?
The real reasons, contrary to the saturation spin being put out by major news outlets, have nothing to do with Tenet’s role as taking the fall for alleged 9/11 and Iraqi intelligence “failures” before the upcoming presidential election.
Both resignations, perhaps soon to be followed by resignations from Colin Powell and his deputy Richard Armitage, are about the imminent and extremely messy demise of George W. Bush and his Neocon administration in a coup d’etat being executed by the Central Intelligence Agency. The coup, in the planning for at least two years, has apparently become an urgent priority as a number of deepening crises threaten a global meltdown.
