The new Cheech and Chong have arrrived! Ok,they may not be as great as the classic stoners, but in his new movie director Danny Leiner (Dude, Where’s My Car; Gilmore Girls; Freaks and Geeks; Everwood) puts together a stoner buddy comedy that has enough laughs for a full price ticket. We were fortunate to catch this summer release when Danny brought a release-cut of the film to the Drafthouse Lake Creek. The movie covers a wide range of funny from the gross-out Battleshit competition to the sublime Neal Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, MD) as a hard-partyin’ druggie actor called…Neal Patrick Harris. Cameos abound from Anthony Anderson (Barbershop), Ethan Embry (Can’t Hardly Wait; Dancer, Texas Pop. 81), Jaime Kennedy, David Krumholtz (10 Things I Hate About You, Addams Family Values), Christopher Meloni (Oz), Ryan Reynolds (Two Guys and a Girl, Van Wilder), and many many more.
