Not quite a game, not really a logic puzzle, so let’s just call <no>circles</no> “interactive art”.

The American Assembler assembles this list showing a ranking of states by average IQ and which candidate they voted for in the last election.

Choose your own punch line:

  • The GOP will blame conservative-bias against IQ tests.
  • I guess it’s easy to see why some states identify with W.

…on how W got into politics.

Prohibition raises its ugly head. Folks are claiming “scientific” evidience that drinking before 21 leads to alcoholism. However, nowhere in the article does it compare rates in the rest of the world with the US, which present the youth with almost equal difficulty in scoring weed or beer. IMO, some of the 40% of kids who start drinking before 15 and subsequently suffer from alcoholism get such due to the social stigma associated with underage drinking.

I propose, before we enshrine 21 even further, that we try an experiment and decriminalize beer and wine for all ages. DUI, etc, should still be harshly punished, etc.

Here’s an expansion on the electoral map theme that carts the Red/Blue phenomena based on electoral votes, total population, and population density.

Nominated for best birthday present of the year (running a dead heat with Becky’s keg of Shiner Light) is a present from my sister (who received assistance from Becky) purchased at Peanut Butter & Co..

The Strawberry Marshmallow Fluff is delightfully light .

I just love spreading Bush conspiracy theories — especially about the timing of Bush’s announcement that he’s “caught” Bin Laden.

Today’s reason: destroying respectable Republicans.

At a time when moderates of either color could sweep the country, both parties present candidates that are distateful to the opposition. However, the Red party is not content with just presenting a poor candidate and attacking their opponents, they have destroyed the reputations of their own party’s candidates who might have a chance at swinging Blue votes and reused the same issue-avoidance tactics that worked so well in smearing other Reds to attack their current opponent.

RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie and Bush Campaign Manager Ken Melhman are running an ugly smear campaign on John Kerry’s service in Vietnam. We’ve seen this before. In 2000 they ran a “whisper campaign” against John McCain, suggesting his time as a POW made him unfit for the Presidency. Then in this campaign, their surrogates have even questioned Max Cleland’s war heroism — a man who received a Silver Star and lost three limbs in the Vietnam War.

McCain would pull Blue votes like moths to a light.

Even some of the people working close to Bush are doing their best to remove the tarnish that has built-up from being associated with him.

Four years into an embattled Bush administration, Colin Powell is hard at work at something he’s never had to worry about before: salvaging his legacy.

The challenge has been made on this site that the Dems could have offered a better candidate, but the Rove attack machine has confirmed that only the worst the Republican party has to offer will be chosen to represent the Republicans on a presidential ballot this November. Men I respect on “the other side” of the fence are missing a chance to shine as acceptable lightposts of conservatism.

p.s. Check out the articles touting a Kerry-McCain ticket. Heck, I’d love a McCain-Kerry ticket even more!
