White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan had to do some fancy foot work covering a ‘minor’ gaffe from the POTUS press conference.
The president should have said in his Tuesday night address and press conference that 23.6 tons of mustard gas were found in Libya, instead of 50 tons, McClellan said.
Mr. Bush used the 50-ton figure twice.
Even with the confusion between “short” tons and metric tons you just can not get to 50 from 23.6
p.s. Tomorrow I’m going to bring up those pesky scientists again with their “facts”.
p.p.s. “They could still be there,” he said Tuesday of the Iraq weapons. “They could be hidden, like the 50 tons of mustard gas in a turkey farm.” Only if you had them planted there in the confusion of the last two weeks, Mr. President.

I have to renew my celebrity fashion/gossip magazine subscriptions since I missed out on this story. Check out Scarlett Johansson wearing the same dress that Britney Spears wore just a few weeks prior. I’ve been bothered by Scarlett’s fashion choices since she hit it big with Bill Murray, but this just seems like poor research.
Not to mention that I hope she’s not trying for the same skank image as Britney.
