But strangely a-political

“Fundrace”:http://www.fundrace.org/index.html has got a bunch of cool tools, such as a donation database searchable by “zip code”:http://www.fundrace.org/neighbors.php and name; and an “analysis”:http://www.fundrace.org/moneyindex.html of the candidates.

Interestingly, GWB scored second on the grassroots index (Behind Dean; Kerry was sixth, in front of only Lieberman and Edwards), and first on the “Fat Cats” index (Kerry was third, after Lieberman). GWB also got donations from about three times as many “zip codes”:http://www.fundrace.org/avgInc.html than Kerry. Kerry contributors also have over $5K more “average income”:http://www.fundrace.org/avgInc.html than Bush donors.

Which candidate is driven by special interests and rich folks again?

Grassroots, too, remember. GWB’s got what’s called “broad-based” support.
