“ROTFLMAO(Rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off)”:http://www.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/columnists/ny-livit0312,0,3618648.column?coll=ny-li-columnists

bq. Security people kept reporters from interviewing the workers at U.S.A. until the president was on the way to his next stop.

bq. But when workers were finally interviewed — these people who made up the bulk of the president’s cheering audience in New York — Bush’s performance turned out to be, if anything, even more impressive.

bq. “No speak English,” said the first worker, smiling apologetically.

bq. “No speak English,” said the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth workers way-laid in the crowd.

bq. But you think the tax cuts should be made permanent, as he says?

bq. “Sorry, no English,” said another.

And my guess is that GWB’s going to get slammed for not reaching out to minorities. Here he is praising a business who is obviously a strong contributer to the minority community.

Why can’t you cut the guy some slack?

BTW, 57 of the 79 plants that Heinz owns are overseas.

Guess JFK married someone who’s sending American jobs offshore. At least she’s an African-American, according to Clarence Page.

I can’t cut the guy slack for bringing in more minimum wage jobs when I still know tech-heads who are working way below their education for a portion of their previous pay while their jobs are filled overseas. (whew.) I certainly can’t cut the guy slack for bringing in a group of people to listen to his speech who don’t understand what he said. How is that reaching out to minorities? It’s insulting.

Why are you bringing in JFK/Heinz? I didn’t see any of those names on my ballot this week.

p.s. I was laughing too hard to make it to the end of the article previously.

bq. What would you like to do with your life?, a shipping clerk at U.S.A. Industries named Wil Romero was asked. He is 26 years old. He thought for a moment.

bq. “I would like to be an American citizen,” he said.

That’s great. Not only did he give a speech (in English) to a group of people who didn’t speak English, but some of them aren’t even voters.

Why? To learn that Limbaugh’s an idiot often? Hate to break it to you, but that was old news.
