This came in the mail for me today.

I’m sure my name is on several hundred direct marketing lists, but I can’t quite figure this one out. I hope they paid at least $.000032 for my name. Was it my registering Democrat? That $25 I gave Dean?

Anyway, Bush Cheney ’04 “would be thrilled” if I’d join as a Charter Member. Apparently, “the Democrats have relentlessly attacked the President, while liberal special interests groups are raising hundreds of millions of dollars to defeat President Bush.”

We need a strong grassroots organization to combat all the “hate speech” the Democratic challengers have been directing toward GWB. Even worse, the liberals are well funded. “Backed by the likes of billionaire currency trader George Soros, who has compared President Bush to a Nazi, various liberal special interest groups have vowed to defeat President Bush. So far these groups have amassed a war chest of almost $200 million — with plans to raise half a billion dollars.”

Those snobs think they can defeat the President with all their money. Well I’m gonna show them. I’m going to write a letter of support explaining just how I feel about President Bush and send it in, using the convenient postage paid envelope they gave me (permit no. 9312).

hee-hee! I guess the R in RKelly stands for Republican!

On the serious side, though: How can Bush not feel like a total slime-bag painting this financial picture of how poor his political war chest is and how rich his opponent’s is? Aren’t the figures of how much money he’s raised compared to Kerry fairly public and overwhelming in his favor? (or was I buying that data without verifying it?)

Oy. I got one of these too! I attributed it to my dad’s subscription to Forbes he got me for xmas. Guess not. My boss also got one the week after the gay marriages in San Francisco were rolling. I saw it on his desk with a post it that said “Aw, how sweet. Are you going to invite him to your wedding?” ;) If you need additional explanation, I live in San Francisco, and my boss lives in the Castro. So, there ya go.

None for me, a wanna-be member of the vast right wing conspiracy with at least SOME disposable income…
