Gifted kids in Louisiana are lucky if their programs are still tied into the special education programs. In most places where that isn’t the case, gifted programs are being cut right and left.

First, Bush’s decision to convince Aristide to leave Haiti despite the U.S.‘s previous decade+ of support. I still think Bush suffers from honesty credibility and it applies here. He should come out in one simple statement declaring Aristide as a despot who was destroying democracy (admitting that the U.S.‘s support of Arisitide was a mistake) AND that we coerced him to leave to prevent bloodshed and start helping Haiti to rebuild it’s government. He’ll never admit those two items in the same press conference but it would improve my image of him.
Second, the crackdown on prescription drug abuse. Drug abuse has had too much a focus that was economically biased. Dave Chapelle had a recent show that parodied this discrimination by showing a white-collar criminal being taken out LAPD-street style and a crack dealer scheduling court appearances ala Martha Stewart.
I have forgotten so many things from my education. I scored 45/48 before the time ran out on this test on the location of the United States.
Funny thing, they said the short bus was coming for me. I rode the short bus for several years because Louisiana in classifying gifted/talented students as “special education” allocated the same resources. I was the only person on my bus who could diagram a sentence.
