Really cool game that is one of those no-instructions/click-on-things and figure it out for your own damn self kind of things…

(kMc- what does this site remind me of?)

Woo Hoo! Leaving Houston, which is currently working up to being another 100 degree plus day, and headed to San Diego to drill this weekend. Continuing my education into how to find and kill rapidly proliferating diesel submarines, but enjoying lovely quarters nonetheless.

The running shoes are packed, as are the swim trunks. For, as we learned from OFF:

Daybreak: Tucawka. The proud men and women of the Navy are fighting for freedom. But you’re in Lubbock, Texas, hosing stains off a monument. You’re in the Naval Reserve. America’s seventeenth line of defense, between the Mississippi National Guard, and the League of Women Voters. After basic training, you’ll only have to work one weekend a month. And most of that time, you’re drunk off your ass.

Such is the price of freedom…

Heather Havrilesky, of my RabbitBlog link fame has written something on Salon about this summer’s preponderance of surfing-themed entertainment. I thought it was topical, considering jank and I both admitted yesterday how we love the Blue Crush.

As always, it’s an insightful and entertaining look at current pop-culture. I hope she really is working on a novel, because I’ll pre-order it and everything!

Cute beginning of a blog called About A Bunny that is…about a bunny. Becky used to have a bunny named Mr. Mestopholes. I’ll let her answer for that.

So, I got one of those solicitation emails from Bob Graham today. Remember the Far Side cartoon where it shows what the dog hears vs. what the people say blah, blah, blah Fluffy blah blah?

Here’s what Bob Graham’s wife, Adele, said:

Bob and I have started blogging. Bob has been keeping a journal for decades. Now Bob and I are using a blog to keep a journal online. On our blog you can read about what is going on with the campaign and you can also share your ideas with us.
Go to http://www.grahamforpresident.com/blog to see the blog

Here’s what I heard Adele say:

…blogging…blog…blog…blog..blog

Ya’ think maybe Bob’s trying to steal some of Howard’s thunder?

Steve Martin is giving the “Bush is a bigger liar than Clinton” ball a nudge, it looks like to me.

Of course, now that he’s expanded from the novella format and is doing Op-Eds for the Times, I expect someone will “draft” him into the CA governor race pretty soon…
