I’ve basically been ignoring the whole CA Gray Davis fiasco, because I think it’s pretty absurd. I generally think that a recall is a good idea (keeps politicians in check, in theory), but it’s pretty apparent that this recall wouldn’t have had any steam if the alarm guy hadn’t paid for everything.

There are now 250 people who have turned in the paperwork to run, including Salon colunist Arianna Huffington. Arnold will decide on Wednesday whether he’s in. And, now, in the most exciting news yet…

Larry Flynt, King of Porn, has decided to run as well. I’m not sure what to think of him personally, but I’m starting to think that these are really pretty exciting times. When else could someone as crazy and controversial as Larry Flynt end up on a ballot?

If Ralph throws his hat in, I’m moving to sunny California.

OMG! Larry Flynt! Arianna Huffington! I wouldn’t know who to vote for. If Ralph did run (and win) I would be all over Monster.com.

Wow. Growing up I thought that it was great entertainment to live in Louisiana and enjoy fine politicians like David Duke and Edwin Edwards being taken seriously. KKK Grand Dragons and convicted felons running the state. Seems like much of the rest of the country (Texas and California most prominently) have decided to join the party.

Party on Ted.

Ooh, maybe Lex Luthor is waiting until all of Nader’s supporters move to California before causing it to fall in the ocean.

Does have an apocalyptic feel, to it, doesn’t it?

Californians (especially the Northerners IMO) have always been so damn superior. It’s nice to see them being compared to Louisiana every once in awhile.
