It would be cool. Call it the original carbon fiber. But it’s old news. Bamboo bikes were around as long as bikes have been around. No lie. But yeah, bamboo rocks. My favorite fly rod is an old bamboo model from the ’60s.

Sub-Pop is the label that blessed us with the bands (like Nirvana) that were eventually forced into the spotlight of fad-dom as “grunge”.

I will have to pull some of my 3D images and try this technique. He’s just taking the left and right images and flipping them with what appears to be about a 200-250ms delay. It kinda works. (Some images may require adult supervision for the overly conservative.)

There are some ideas that just shouldn’t be bandied around in public. The DARPA Futures market was one of them. That’s not to say it wasn’t a brilliant idea; IMO it was. However, it’s an idea that is going to seem nearly as cruel to the average American as clubbing baby seals.

NRO ran a pretty decent bit on this today; I just wanted to throw in my two cents.

Tom the Dancing Bug is a usually far-left leaning comic strip but today’s release is awfully balanced. I suppose the artist, Rueben Bolling, is as sick of the political back-fighting as the rest of us.
