Here are some excerpts from a new compilation of artsts doing a tribute to one of my favorite C&W outlaws, Waylon Jennings. What I always liked about Waylon Jennings is his general abandonment of traditional song-writing styles while still creating music that was 100% country. Every off-count lyric and song that either ends suddenly or seems to go on forever before the fader is applied fires up the artist in me about creating something non-traditional yet still consumable.
